Specializing in language education and services, Esperanza Education is about strengthening the bonds between peoples and cultures. Nicole Benson, the company’s founder, believes that through education we can work towards social justice. Through inter-cultural communication and understanding, we can achieve the social changes necessary to make this globalized world more equitable for all people. The name ‘Esperanza’ means ‘Hope’ in Spanish because Nicole knows that a little bit of hope can go a long way…

Nicole resides in Vancouver, Canada where she is completing a Masters degree in Modern Language Education. She has lived in and traveled throughout Latin America and Spain and is strongly committed to the struggle for social justice. She brings critical perspectives into all her work and volunteers for various organizations including Education Without Borders and CoDevelopment Canada.
